On 12th January, CITCM's performance team began its 8 week roadshow, a project which involved delivering over 70 Chinese New Year performances over an 8 week period. On 7th March, the roadshow reached an end as the team delivered their last performance at The Pimlico Academy.

CITCM’s professional performance team consists of 8 martial artists (including national champions), 6 dancers, 2 singers and 4 musicians (including erhu and dizi). This is CITCM's largest ever performance team and all of the members have received specialised training in China. The result is a highly professional and brilliantly vibrant performance, which gives a well rounded introduction to the Chinese Arts.

The roadshow took them from London, to Bangor and Brighton. They performed in front of students, the general public, businesses, ambassadors, governors and many more. Audiences ranged in size, with the largest turnout of over 500 people at the Mermaid theatre in London. This roadshow definitely provided a great opportunity for thousands of people to explore Chinese culture and celebrate the year of the dog.

Mr Wang Kaile, a martial artist in the performance team, expressed that ‘this year’s roadshow was so exciting – we travelled far and wide and received such great feedback from everybody.”

CITCM thanks everybody who attended the events, and we wish you all a very prosperous year of the Dog!
