2024 Summer in China

2024 Summer in China, a programme that provides generous subsidies, will take the successful applicants to China for a 14-day study trip with all-local-expense paid.

You get a chance to visit 2 cities, Harbin and Beijing, alonside your Mandarin classes. The trip includes exploring historic sites, enabling you to immerse in and get a deep understanding of Chinese culture.

You can apply, once you 1) complete a Mandarin course with us and 2) pass an HSK1 or higher test with us.

We will release the schedule of application and key dates of the trip in February 2024.

CITCM offers generous subsidies which will cover the majority of basic and moderate costs of the participants’ stay in China.

  • Accommodation
  • 3 meals a day
  • Language classes at one of our partner universities
  • Entry fees to listed tourist sites
  • Organised intramural transport
  • Organised train or flight journey(s) between Harbin and Beijing

Participants will be required to cover the following costs independently.

  • Visa application fees
  • International travelling (approximately £1,100-£1,500 for a round-trip flight ticket from London to Beijing)

You must meet the following requirements:

1. Identity requirement:

- HSK students: complete a full HSK course at CITCM and hold an HSK2 or higher certificate

or

- Registered members of the Chinese Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Alliance UK (CAHMA)

2. Hold a non-Chinese citizenship

CITCM holds all rights to finalise the list of successful applicants.
