This major event was opened by Prof Deborah Johnston, Deputy Vice-Chancelor of LSBU, who thanked the Confucius Institute for their hard work during their busy Chinese New Year roadshow period. The professional performers then presented a captivating feast of dancing, martial arts, and music, frequently supported by a lovely panda mascot. The gala showcased Chinese art and culture, the harmonious interplay between dancers and martial artists, and collaboration between Chinese and western musical instruments. The audience so thoroughly enjoyed the show that they stayed behind afterwards to thank the performers and to take photos with the panda.
