Professor Ian Appleyard, Course Director of London South Bank University’s BSc and Integrated Masters Chinese Medicine courses, has had his pilot study protocol published in Volume 8, Issue 4 of the European Journal of Integrative Medicine.
The Study which is titled ‘Warm needle acupuncture vs. needle acupuncture for osteoarthritis of the knee: A pilot study protocol’, investigates the specific efficacy of the conducted heat in warm needle acupuncture. All treatments in this study were given at the Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CITCM) teaching clinic located in Caxton House. CITCM doctors were also used during the study.
